Introduction: Infections called coronaviruses can result in illnesses ranging from the common cold to more serious conditions like severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS). These infections were initially from creatures to individuals. (Abodunrin, Oloye, & Adesola, 2020) A serious, severe respiratory condition brings on the infectious disease (covid-19).
Objective: The study aimed to evaluate the level of physical activity and sedentary habits among Lahore undergraduate students during the COVID-19 Lockdown.
Methods:195 undergraduate students were selected from the University of Lahore, Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Central Punjab, and the University of Punjab. An examination of student behavior during the Lockdown was done using a cross-sectional methodology. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was utilized to gather information. The data were examined using SPSS 24.0.
Results: Out of 195 students, 55.9% were males, and 44.1% were females. The study results found that 57.4% had low physical activity levels during the Lockdown, 30.8% had moderate, and 11.8% had high physical activity levels.
Conclusion: According to the study's findings, undergraduate students in Lahore significantly decreased their physical activity while the city was under Lockdown due to the Covid epidemic. Moreover, students spent 10 hours per day sitting on average.
